The 26-inch Frog City 67 kids’ bike is the ultimate urban geared bike, suitable for 10 to 12-year-olds. This premium children’s city bike is designed for everyday use allowing kids to commute to school or explore the city in comfort and style. It has a lightweight, aluminium step-through frame, weighing just 9.61kg making the bike easy to mount and dismount and handle around town.

With this versatile city bike, kids will enjoy a more upright leisurely riding position, owing to a longer head tube and raised slightly swept handlebars. It is also equipped with 8-speed derailleur gears that provide more range for moderate speeds, and a floating chain glider to prevent clothing from getting stuck and the chain from getting soiled.

This urban kids’ bike comes with low-resistance Kenda city tyres perfect for riding on concrete & tarmac, full-length mudguards to keep clothes protected, a kickstand so that the bike is easy to park, and a pannier rack, for transporting books and equipment. And, it features our patented Frog cranks, for more efficient pedalling.

In contrast to many kids' bikes, Frog bikes are sized by the leg length rather than age, as this is the most reliable way of getting the right size of bike for each child. Age alone isn’t a reliable measure as there is a large spread of “normal” leg lengths & heights for each age.

Please take the time to measure the rider’s inside leg.
It’s easy to measure:

  1. Stand the child in socks against a wall
  2. Place a small book between their legs, as high as is comfortable
  3. Ask the child to move away and measure from the top of the book to the floor, in inches.

Once you have measured the inside leg, use this table to find the right size of bike for your child. Note we give the MINIMUM inside leg length for each bike, with the saddle at its lowest setting. At this height, the child will safely and comfortably be able to get their feet on the ground. Don’t worry - Frog Bikes have long seat posts, so the saddle can be raised a long way as the rider grows.

Of course all children have different length arms and torsos too, so to ensure a comfortable riding position, the handlebar height can be tailored, and saddles can be slid backwards and forwards on their rails.

A Wheelbase (mm) 880
B Seat tube angle (degrees) 74
C Head tube angle (degrees) 71
D Effective top tube (mm) 454
E Head tube length (mm) 120
F Chain stay length (mm) 375
G Seat tube length (mm) 280
H BB to Floor (mm) 251

Geometry Labeled Bike

These bikes are expensive, why would I buy one?

We admit it, they are. But if you want to introduce your child to cycling as a quality experience a quality bike makes a difference. That’s hard to pull off when you’re buying a heavy bike from a department store, often loaded with features that rarely work and only add to the weight. Frog keeps things simple and high quality in the interest of making a bike that lasts.

Ok, but why do I want to buy my kid a bike that lasts when they’ll just grow out of it?

Many reasons! If you have more than one child this is the perfect hand-me-down, and still resellable once they’re all grown up. Resale value is very good on these bikes.

So, why wouldn’t I buy a bike from a department store?
Oh, it’s a long list. Most department stores tend to make the bike cheap in all the areas the customer can’t see. The wheels are usually single-walled instead of double-walled and almost never use stainless spokes. The ball bearings are rarely sealed (so they won’t last), and the frames are made of heavy steel rather than lightweight aluminum. Brake levers are adult-sized so kids can barely reach them, and the gears are so heavy it’s hard to turn the shifter. Then there are features that are meant to look cool but don’t work (and only add weight): suspension forks that don’t compress, cheap disc-brakes that make more noise than they stop, heavy one-piece cranks that loosen all the time, and a lot of heavy steel parts.

So, what makes a Frog bike so good?

The frame is made of lightweight aluminum so your child isn’t riding a bike that weighs nearly as much as them. The wheels use strong double-walled rims and stainless steel spokes which are laced to high quality sealed-bearing hubs so the bike can last years if not decades. The brake levers are made for smaller hands and are easy to pull. It’s a high-quality bike, and that means two things: it’s fun to ride, and its built to last!

What’s the warranty?

Frog Bikes' standard warranty is for 2 years on all frames, forks, parts & paintwork (excluding tires and tubes). Frog offers a free extended warranty of 5 years on frames and forks (excluding suspension forks on MTBs) to the original owner if the bike is registered on Frog's website upon purchase. Does not include wear and tear.
