Touring Bikes

Bicycle touring involves taking self contained trips for pleasure, exploration and adventure, these can be single or multi day/week/month trips. A touring bike must be robust enough to carry the necessary clothing, food and equipment and comfortable enough to ride all day. These bikes have multiple mounting points for fenders, racks, bottles and bags. Touring bikes also often use frame materials that prioritise flexibility over stiffness and may come with heavier duty wheels to increase load capacity. 

There is overlap in the requirements of commuting and touring bikes which means that these bikes can be very flexible in their use, great for a 10km plus ride into the office as well as for an overnight bike tour out of the city.  We carry touring bikes from: VSF Fahrradmanufaktur, Riese and Muller, and Pelago.
