The Marathon Plus Tire is made exclusively for Brompton by German tire experts, Schwalbe. If you don’t like flats, then this tire is for you. The Marathon Plus is the most puncture resistant pneumatic tire on the market today and is copied (badly) by many others. 

Equipped with a tight 67tpi Kevlar casing, a substantial 5mm thick rubber SmartGuard protection layer and an anti-aging reinforced sidewall that won’t crack even at low pressure. Finally add a special rubber outer compound that not only rolls easily but actually expels items that penetrate it. Even a thumbtack won't harm it. Unless your tires are shot with armour-piercing rounds, rest easy. This really is the king of tires for the city or touring.
