    Founded in Denmark in 1932 by a former blacksmith, Anders Winther, the company began producing sleighs and toboggans for children inspired by playing in the snow. With the opening of their own factory, the company  moved into tricycles and other equipment to help children gain important motor skills. By the mid 2000s, Winther became known for crafting high-quality cargo tricycles.
