There is a little known fact of bicycle crime and that is, the biggest cause of bicycle theft is cheap, crap locks! The simple truth is, you get what you pay for and if you cheap out on a lock for your fancy new bike it will probably get stolen at some point. Abus is the worlds leading security lock manufacturer and these two lock are good enough for city use weather you are in London, Toronto or New York. Quick-release wheels are easy to remove and expensive to replace so we added a security skewer set to the bundle and finally make sure you have a saddle to come back to with a saddle lock.
- WHEEL LOCKS: Wheel theft is higher than bicycle theft. This is because most bikes are supplied with quick release wheels that are very easy to remove, hardly ever locked and damn expensive to replace. Changing these for security skewers means you will keep your hoops on your bike right where they should be. Choose from basic 49N or high security Pitlock
- MAIN LOCK: Literally the gate keeper of you bicycle. Normally the last thing you buy and the first thing you cheap out on. DON'T DO IT! wether your bike is worth $10 or $1000 buying a lock worth at least $100 will ensure you keep your bike. Choose from the fabulous Sinus or the high security London locks, both from Abus in Germany
- SEAT LOCK: Another thing thieves seem to love. No idea why as all seat posts are different sizes but they steal them all the same. Adding a simple Abus chain lock from your frame to your saddle ensures you don't have to sit on the frame riding home
WHEEL SECURITY: It's a sad fact that wheel theft is higher than bicycle theft. This is because most bikes are supplied with quick releases that are designed to help you quickly remove the wheels so you can throw the bike in the trunk of your car. Great for the suburbs, crap for the city. Wheels on a bike are actually very expensive to replace as you need purchase a wheel, tire, tube, cogs and often a new chain to make it work and before you know it you are looking at upwards of $300.
