Brompfication has strived to design a lightweight, yet solid seatpost, with a beautiful and clean look and we think they have delivered, Its a thing of beauty! The Extended Titanium Seatpost is 60mm longer than the standard post and features the familiar setup with two yokes that clamp the saddle rails in a half circle cradle. This is not only an elegant solution, but also save a lot of weight compared to Brompton's Pentaclip solution. The seatpost is flared at the bottom, like the original Brompton seatpost to prevent it coming out.
Titanium is one of the best materials for seatposts because of its ability to deflect shock, and increase riding comfort. Unlike most other titanium seatposts, all parts on our seatpost are made in titanium - not only the post and the bolts, but also yokes, connecting rod and cradle are made from titanium grade 5.
- Weight: 330 ± 10 grams all included
- Saves a massive 185 grams over the Brompton's standard steel seatpost and Pentaclip
- Length: 580 mm
- Consists of one post, a connecting rod, two yokes, two 5mm bolts and a rail support cradle all in grade 5 titanium
- Has a similar effective length to Brompton's extended seatpost
- Recommended rider weight limit of 100 kg
- Recommended maximum rail clamp torque of 5 Nm
Brompfication Company History: Brompfication was formed by the Danish Brompton fanatic Peter Griebel in September 2010 and was the first company to specialize in producing parts for modifying and tuning your Brompton. The idea behind the company is to design and produce modifications for Brompton folding bikes with a simple design, that are functional, lightweight and durable.
While still a small business their passion for improving Brompton bikes have made them a widely known name in Brompton circles throughout the world. Their first product was the awesome Hinge Clamp Set that not only makes folding your bike even easier but saves weight too. Since then many new products have been developed and are all still made in small batches by family run CNC shops in Thailand.
