SECURITY OPTIONS

It's a tough world out there and to battle it, you need to know your enemy. The large majority of thieves aren't looking for good bikes; they're looking for bad locks. A recent McGill study showed that most bicycle theft is constituted by low-reward in exchange for low-risk (you can read more about this here). Cable locks are cut with cable-cutters and cheap U-locks are bent open with crowbars. Here are the locks you need to keep your bike secure!

CARRYING STUFF?

Your Achelle is all about going to work, picnics and grocery shopping. That's why it's a great idea to get some sort of basket for carrying stuff! We offer two permanent-mounted baskets in durable aluminum or mesh. The Cento Aluminum is great if your store your bike outside year round, while the College Mesh can rust over time. The Bottle Basket, meanwhile, offers a great removable option that just pops on-and-off the side of your rack. Finally, the Portland Carrier is a front mounted basket that looks really, really cool.

Your Achielle already comes with fenders, kickstand, and rear rack, but it does not come with lights - which are required by law! Luckily, your Achielle is equipped for permanently bolted-on lights that are theft resistant (and also look super stylish). Prefer tons of light output?
