CykelMageren at Curbside
Posted on 08 February 2008
Editors note: proof that we would try anything once. We stumbled upon these guys in a magazine and then a cold snowy day in Copenhagen one day. They are still the most beautiful one-speed we ever imported but by god they were expensive. At $1500 after shipping we barely made a cent, so we shut this little experiment down.

Several months ago, our fellow Canadian Tyler Brule featured a city bike issue of his popular Monocle magazine. We were already in love with a current events magazine that featured beautiful bicycles - I mean really, how often does that happen? - but when we opened it up we weren't expecting to see CykelMageren bikes. Long convinced that we had tapped into the best of the best in city bikes, CykelMageren came as a surprise, so of course we immediately contacted them. Today, in a top secret meeting in downtown Seattle, we sealed the deal. Rasmus at CykelMageren has been building bikes since the early 1990's, and each bike is a work of art. True to the aesthetics of Danish minimalism, they are clean, beautiful and highly functional. Available early Spring.
